Kerri and Christopher had their Francis Farm wedding on Sunday September 3rd and it was a day just as amazing as the two of them! Francis Farm was a great backdrop for Kerri and Christopher’s laid back vibe! All day I felt as though I was good friends with both Kerri and Chris they are just about the nicest people and a BLAST to be around. Whenever I get to witness two people that clearly love each other as much as Kerri and Chris do it gives me butterflies.

Kerri and Chris had a wedding that was definitely not cookie cutter, had so many elements that were uniquely them and most of all the day was filled with so much LOVE. I started the day with Kerri and her girls as they all got ready together. Just as Kerri’s very cute t-shirt said they were a stone cold pack of weirdos in the BEST way possible! After putting on her dress and final touches Kerri opened the gifts from Chris and her parents. Kerri’s parents had a beautiful charm made for Kerri’s bouquet that honored her brother Matt that has passed away. Kerri also honored Matt in her own way by having his blue sweatshirt sewn in her wedding dress in the shape of a heart. Although Matt couldn’t be there in body he was there in spirit and his loving presence was felt in many ways all day long. After gifts were exchanged Kerri met Christopher under the gazebo for a first look. You could tell that right when these two saw each other all the nerves they were feeling melted away and the small jokes and funny antics started.

It was a touching ceremony with personalized vows, lots of laughs, a few tears and SO much tribute to those that couldn’t be there. Kerri and Chris’s dog Dallas stole the show and was such a great dog of honor! After the ceremony we utilized the museums and sprawling property for fun family and bridal party. I am a big fan of the tractor museum and how awesome Kerri’s bridal party was when I asked them to climb John Deer tractors and sit on top of vintage cars.

Kerri and Chris made quite an entrance as they danced to I want to grow old with you played on the Ukulele by one of the groomsmen; Shawn Kelly. After toasts by best man Jonathan Howard and maid of honor Briana Johnson the crowd was ready for dancing, lawn games, and spending lots of time by the fire pit toasting s’mores. And that rain shower made for an unforgettable sunset, I was happy to bring Kerri and Chris out on the field to grab some photos and for them to spend a few moments together. I had a blast on your wedding day guys and I am SO happy that I was there to capture your love story and celebrate with you!

Michelle and Jonah what can I say I fell in LOVE with you both within minutes of meeting you! I loved Michelle with her down-to-earth, friendly demeanor and contagious free spirit vibes. And then I met Jonah who smiled with his whole body clearly SO much in love with Michelle and SO excited to be her husband. It was also my first time photographing or being on the Lavender Farm property and it’s gorgeous grounds and lovely old antique home. AND it was my first time shooting alongside Sara Smile Photography whose work I have admired from afar for the last year +.

Michelle and Jonah’s wedding day was nothing short of spectacular! It was a day filled with family and friends on the lovely backdrop of fields of lavender, an antique home and beautiful trees and flowers everywhere. Michelle and Jonah had a Jewish ceremony and also signed a Ketubah in the love shack on the property with both Jonah and Michelle’s families; including their grandparents. All of the bridesmaids wore different color dresses and suits and had their spirit animals as pins on their lapels. I love that Michelle asked Jonah to marry her on stage at an Improv show; the place in which they first met and fell in love. It was a day of nostalgia, love, laughter, songs and a SUPER FUN choreographed first dance by the bride and the groom. A day I will surely never forget!
Also super big thanks to Detailed Engagements for knocking the day out of the park! Tiffany was the planner for my friend Sarah’s wedding and she was a calm presence all day! I would highly recommend her to my future couples!

I recently met up with Virginia and Devon to photograph their engagement session in Provincetown, MA. Virginia and Devon were a blast to hang out with and I had a ton of fun that evening as we explored Commercial street together and then ended our session for sunset photos at Race Point Beach. We even made a guest appearance at the Squealing Pig bar on Commercial street where we shared beers and conversations with some colorful locals.

Virginia and Devon met each other while working at St. Georges School in Rhode Island. They started off their relationship in the best of ways; as friends and it wasn’t until they both taught for a summer at Camp Laurel, a children’s summer camp in Maine that things started developing into more than a friendship.

They began officially dating later that fall, but Virginia headed off to grad school in Connecticut in the fall of 2014, so they weren’t sure how things were going to work out with a long distance relationship. It became clear pretty quickly that while they certainly didn’t enjoy the distance between them, neither wanted to end things because of it. That fall was probably the moment when they both knew that they both wanted to be together for the long haul.

Both Virginia and Devon described themselves as type A personalities who love organization and order, adventures, nature, their dogs and just generally spending all their time together. One of my favorite questions to ask a couple when I am getting to know them is what they both love about each other because I truly feel like it gives me an insider introspective into their souls.

Devon said: “she loves how driven Virginia is. She is dedicated to everyone she knows and everything she does. I love that she is my personal cheerleader whenever I am trying something new or doing something I am the least bit nervous about. I love that I can count on her for anything. She never disappoints and always has my back.” Virginia says of Devon: “I love that Devon is always able to surprise me. As much as we love to organize and plan things, she somehow manages always to sneak in a surprise here and there that is totally unexpected. I also love that her mantra for life is to try anything twice. She will rarely say no to a new experience; instead she leans into whatever new activity or adventure I encourage us to try and gives it a fair shot.

My 2017 wedding season started off in the BEST way possible by photographing a wedding at the Popponessett Inn on Saturday May 27th!! I got to accompany the super awesome Jessica Connery Photography of Orlando Florida at the wedding of Kelsey + Matt.  Kelsey and Matt were an amazing couple! Super down to earth and the day was perfect in every way!

I started out with Matt, his groomsmen and parents at a cute beach cottage for getting ready photos. We then met Kelsey and Jessica at an adorable foot bridge across the street from the beach. Kelsey and Matt had an emotional first look and then we crossed the street for some beach portraits. Beach formals and more portraits were done at the beach behind the Popponessett Inn. There was a threaten of a rain storm almost all day but you really couldn’t have asked for better weather with blue skies and a nice coastal breeze. Matt and his groomsmen had me in stitches all afternoon, and Kelsey and her bridesmaids and her sister were a hoot!

We left the Poppy for a ceremony at Christ the King Church in Mashpee that was both touching and personal. I loved getting to know all Kelsey and Matt’s wedding guests and family members. Everyone was so welcoming and made my job so fun and easy at the cocktail hour for portraits of the guests and during the reception. I am a better person for having met and photographed this couple.

Yes! Thank you to Kelsey and Matt and your friends and family. I had the BEST time getting to know you all and having fun celebrating your love story!

I recently photographed Juliana and Chris at one of their favorite places and hangouts; Slumbrew Brewery and then we hopped over to Davis Square to get photos in front of their first apartment together. It was raining cats and dogs all evening but we did find some reprieve inside the brewery for awhile but then decided to venture outside in the rain. Luckily I always bring an umbrella for sessions like this and Juliana and Chris’s enthusiasm and fun loving personalities made the evening especially easy-going. I was in stitches the whole evening and honestly for the most part didn’t even notice the rain. After photos in front of the Davis we ended the incredibly rainy evening standing in front of the iconic Somerville Theatre.

Juliana and Chris first met each other at the Harp Bar in North Station. But it wasn’t until mutual friends suggested that they hang out that the pair finally got together at Chris’s apartment for his birthday and the rest is history. Juliana describes Chris as unapologetically silly and always completely himself, no matter what situation he’s in or who he is surrounded by. Chris says that Juliana encourages him to be weird! Her nerdiness nearly rivals his own. I love that these two completely support each other in all of their endeavors, whether that is Juliana encouraging him to go to grad school or their dreams to one day start their own brewery.

I hope you enjoy this snippet of their evening and Juliana and Chris I can’t wait for your wedding on October 14th at Plimoth Plantation!! If our time together last week is any indication its going to be a blast!
