Whenever friends ask me to document their lives whether that be on their wedding day, pictures of themselves or their families I get SO excited! Meghan and George were of one those very couples. I met Meghan and George through our mutual work volunteering with The Pug Rescue of New England and I felt an instant connection with them both. They are just about the nicest people you could EVER meet, and they are SO in love with each other that seeing them together gives me butterflies.

Meghan and George had the definition of a kick-ass wedding, it was not cookie cutter, had so many elements that were uniquely them and most of all was filled with so much LOVE. I started the day with George at the gazebo near Castle Island for a few photos while we waited for Meghan to arrive for a first look and them had some time for portraits of the two of them. Afterwards we hurried off to the venue to get family and friend photos before the majority of the guests arrived. As is typical of most every wedding I shoot we ran behind and Meghan and George had to hide in the kitchen before their ceremony.

I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason however and some of the photos that we took in the kitchen ended up being my favorites of the whole day!! Meghan and George are the type to roll with the punches and we had a lot of fun before their ceremony.

With a touching ceremony that started with Meghan and George walking down the aisle together and a tribute to Meghan’s late father there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as they two said I do. Afterwards Meghan and George hugged and said hello to all their guests in the best type of receiving line and then shared dances before eating a pig roast. I was truly honored to be Meghan and George’s wedding photographer and I LOVE them both so very much!

I am always an advocate for a First Look on a wedding day! What is a First Look you say? Well in case you don’t know or wanted more information a First Look is an intimate session between the two of you pre-ceremony where I help set a location for you to have time together. Hair and make-up are on point, dress and shoes and all details are PERFECT! Myself and my assistant photographer are photographing you from afar with long lenses as you take in a few moments to breath each other in, smile, laugh and kiss as you get excited about your wedding day!

Wedding days are jam packed with a couple in love that will get married, greet guests, mingle, have a first dance, dance with parents, eat, toast, cut the cake, have their bridal portraits, and portraits with bridal party and family. All of this happens in no less than 6 hours. It really goes by in a flash!

Having some intimate time for the two of you built into your day is really the best way to get those pre-ceremony jitters out! Don’t worry just because your significant other saw you pre-ceremony they will still be excited to see you walk down that aisle. After the first look we take some time to create photos of just the two of you before joining family, friends and bridal party for portraits. Also having a first look ensures that you will be able to join your cocktail hour. As always I am hear to help you navigate your timeline and your wedding day so please feel free to ask me any questions you have about First Looks or any other part of the wedding day.

Photos shared are of one of my favorite first looks overlooking the ocean at Chatham Bars Inn from a few years ago. I recently photographed Paula and Rob with their sweet black lab Russel on the Charles River in Downtown Boston. It was a beautiful autumn evening and we got to experience the beauty of the fall foliage and the Boston waterfront.

Paula and Rob met each other one evening at the Pour House in Boston. Paula was with her sister and friends and Rob was with two high school buddies. Paula and her friends asked Rob if he was from Texas because he was dressed in a preppy manner kind of like Texas frat boys. Rob initially said absolutely not, before realizing that Paula was cute and he said not that there’s anything wrong with that! These two knew they had found something really special in each other when they shared a moment on a bench in the Public Garden on Paula’s birthday in 2011.

Paula loves how caring Rob is and how helpful and supportive he is, and also his sweet dance moves. I have been informed that at their wedding next September 16th that not only will Rob be showing off his stellar dance moves he will also be joining the band to sing. I can’t wait to see that! You can tell how much Rob adores Paula he said that he loves Paula’s smile and infectious laugh. Rob loves how great a friend Paula is and all the ways she cares for and supports her many close friends. Rob thinks Paula is a caring and good mom to their dog Russell and cant wait to see what kind of mom she will be to their kids. Awe!!

I hope you enjoy this snippet of the evening and Paula and Rob I can’t wait for your wedding On September 16th at the Acoaxet Club in Westport. Cheers!

Last Friday I photographed a family portrait session at Bourne Farm in Falmouth, MA for the Gibson Family. It was the most beautiful day, unseasonably warm and so sunny. Bourne Farm is a favorite spot of mine to photograph families for its diversity and also since I spent 9 years growing up that area, it holds a special place in my heart. Catherine is the younger sister of one of my closest friends and we have known each other for the past 26 years, which is a little mind boggling to me. This was the first time I have met Catherine and Jacob’s son Bennett and it was such a pleasure to photograph him. Bennett is one of the most easy-going babies, full of smiles and wonderment. It was so great to catch up with this wonderful family and spend an afternoon with them. I hope you enjoy this snippet of our afternoon together. joline-cameron-photography_2735joline-cameron-photography_2745joline-cameron-photography_2736joline-cameron-photography_2737joline-cameron-photography_2738joline-cameron-photography_2739joline-cameron-photography_2740joline-cameron-photography_2741joline-cameron-photography_2742joline-cameron-photography_2743
